We are closing from the 1st of January 2013 and re-opening at the beginning of August to provide self catering accommodation sleeping 8 people with two double beds and 2 twin beds.
After 16 years running Fieldview as a bed and breakfast we have decided it is time for a change, we have forgotten how many thousands of breakfasts we have cooked over the years, but now it's time for pastures new.
We would like to thank all those people who have come to stay with us (often time and tme again), for their support over the years. We have met so many fantastic people some of whom have become friends and part of what we do.
We will still be at Fieldview, but we are now going to open Fieldview to self catering groups, we can sleep upto 8 people with two bathrooms, two ground floor bedrooms and a fully fitted kitchen.
Our aim is to provide a relaxed place at an affordable price for people in these difficult times to get a break away.
Our rates initially will be around £650 per week but this may change as we are still finalising how we will do things. However, it will be likely we will be happy to take part weeks and reduced rated for smaller groups out of the main holiday season. Update 31/03/2013 - We were going to re-open at Easter, however in February (Part way though our renovation), we thought that the B+B accommodation was probably not best suited for a self-catering holiday. Our solution is swap. Those of you who have stayed with us in past will be used to how Fieldview works. There was the B+B accommodation, and also our separate living accommodation. We are in the process of swapping over. This means that your self-catering stay will be in what was our accommodation. This comprises a large ground floor open plan room with wooden floors, off this is the Kitchen, two bedrooms (one with a patio door leading into the Garden) and a Bathroom. On the first floor there are two bedrooms and another bathroom. At the moment the house is heated by a large wood burner that heats the radiators, cosy but unless you are happy to keep the fire stoked high (fuel will be supplied), then we are encouraging winter bookings, eventually we are looking to install better heating for the cold winter months. We are sorry if you have been trying to contact us, however BT have proved to be completely incapable of doing the simple job of moving our phone line. What they have done is cut us off thinking the work was done and now changed our phone number.

Fieldview is the place for you if you like comfortable accommodation, with a friendly welcome in quiet location off the beaten track. We are open for self catering holidays all year around and are well placed for Birdwatchers, Cyclists, Ramblers, Naturalists and families wishing to holiday in this beautiful area. We are only 2 miles from Walsingham, 4 miles from Thursford and 20 minutes from the coast. There is so much for everyone in North Norfolk.
